FrameBright Smart TV app

The screen side of board-plus-screen.

A Smart TV app that pairs with the gameboard and the FrameBright app. The TV is the screen; the board is the table; the iPad or phone is the companion.

Cast targets

  • Apple TV
  • Google TV
  • Roku
  • Fire TV

Per-target release scoping is part of the early-access program; cast-target rollout order is scoped per partner agreement.

Role in the play loop

The TV app is the screen side of the board-plus-screen experience. The board reports figurine state; the iPad or phone runs the companion UI; the TV renders the world the kid is playing in.

The TV app is a renderer first. It does not run AEGIS classification on-device; classification runs upstream of generation in the seed engine and the classification loop. The TV app receives only cleared content.

Discovery over local mesh

Once the gameboard is paired with the household, any FrameBright Smart TV app on a TV in the same local network discovers the board automatically. The kid does not enter a code; the TV app inherits the household's pairing.

Game state sync

Game state is authoritative on the gameboard's local controller. The iPad or phone holds the companion view; the TV holds the rendered view. State changes propagate over local mesh in under the latency target documented in /gameboard/hardware.
